This clean Mustang was built and tuned by JPC Racing, equipped with a solid setup that yielded 1249whp @ 26Ibs on a Mainline hub dyno. The car has seen more boost than that at the track (up to 32Ibs of boost), not worth the stress for a dyno number, it should be close to or over 1400whp. Powered by a TKM Stage 2 sleeved/o-ring Coyote that’s paired with a single 88mm BL Fab/Sai Li turbo kit, and mated to a fresh 1.80 powerglide transmission (rated for 2000hp from FTI). Additional upgrades include lots of custom engine bay work for cleanliness (including PCM relocation), Weldon fuel pump, 10 gallon trunk mounted fuel cell, 252mm converter, Moser M9 rear with 3.50 third member, 40 spline axles, Strange lightweight drag brakes all around, and more. The car has been a best of 5.23 in the 1/8-mile with the current setup, it hasn’t seen the 1/4-mile yet, but should be very close to a 7-second car. It was also built for a marginal prep track, and it’s unbelievably consistent, even on poorly prepped surfaces or the street. This build still retains the factory radio, heat, and seats as it was required for the street car class it competed in last year.
