1998 Chevrolet Camaro SS in Black with 112,000 (Chassis) miles for sale! This wicked F-body is equipped with a vigorous LS7 engine that has been fitted with ported heads, ARP hardware, titanium rods and crankshaft, FAST LSX-R 102mm intake manifold, and forged wiseco pistons with a 13.1 compression ratio. Along with the LS7 swap, a Nitrous Outlet plate system was installed followed by a Nitrous Express stand alone, NOS progressive controller, and Lingenfelter setup. The built LS7 engine paired with a Nitrous Outlet plate system is a deadly combination that requires drivetrain upgrades to ensure the car can properly put the power down. The rear end has been upgraded and narrowed with a Moser 9-inch rear with 4.11 gears, also also equipped with a powerglide setup, transbrake, and PTC converter. There are only 10K miles on the build, and only 1K miles on the powerglide setup and converter. The LS7 engine was professionally built by CBI Street Cars in De Soto, Missouri, and CBI handled the tuning as well on 93 pump gas. It ran a 9.364 @ 145.94 on a test pass at the track, which puts into perspective just how fast this nitrous LS7 swapped Camaro is. This is a 100% turn key street car that can be driven to the track and back home without hesitation, the car will easily run 9.10/9.00 in the 1/4 mile in its current configuration. It sounds rowdy and performs extremely well with this setup, this F-body is ready for action.
The owner notes this Camaro is in great condition, this build has a very intimidating presence with the cowl hood, wheel/tire setup, and parachute. Currently sitting on a set of lightweight 15-inch Weld Racing RT-S S71 wheels that have been wrapped in Mickey Thompson front runners and Hoosier slicks in the rear. The car does come equipped with full suspension including double adjustable front and rear coilovers.
This build still retains factory interior, you may have noticed the car is missing the center console, which the owner does have, however it has not been installed. The interior is clean and shows very well, the front and rear seats show no major signs of wear. The Nitrous Outlet bottle has been mounted in the middle of the rear seats in the back, wrapped in a Nitrous Outlet bottle heater to maintain optimal bottle pressure.
